We will strive to accommodate everyone who wants to ride, but we will be limited by our smallest hotel.  All applications received between January 1 and January 15, 2016 will be placed into a lottery if entries exceed space available.  Applicants who are not drawn will be put on a waiting list.  If you have a group or a partner and would like to be bunched together for lottery purposes only, let us know so one does not get picked and the other put into the lottery.  Ride starts May 11 rain or shine.  We reserve the right to change or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control that arise, without liability.

In order to provide different price points, we are offering four options on the application based on number of hotel nights and occupancy rate.  All options will include hotels with a hot breakfast each of 5 mornings, three dinners at the overnight hotels during the ride and the finisher’s dinner on May 14.  Also included with each option is a custom 3”x 4” custom finisher’s medal with neck ribbon plus bike box storage during the event and one drop bag to be shuttled to all overnights.  For TRS, Double Occupancy (D.O.) will be a shared 2-bed hotel room with one other rider (one person per bed).  Single Occupancy (S.O.) will be a 1 or 2-bed hotel room without a roommate.  We have done our best to negotiate a good group rate.

Option #1 at $500 includes three D.O. hotel rooms for May 11, 12 & 13.  Hotel rooms at the host hotel in Waxahachie pre & post event will not be included and riders will need to make their own arrangements elsewhere for those nights as we have the whole hotel reserved.

Option #2 at $600 includes five D.O. hotel rooms on May 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.  These hotel rooms cover the night prior to the start at the host hotel in Waxahachie, all three overnights during the ride and one night after the ride at the host hotel in Waxahachie.

Option #3 at $700 includes two S.O. hotel rooms on May 10 & 14 at the host hotel plus three D.O. hotel rooms for all three overnights during the ride.

Option #4 at $900 includes five S.O. hotel rooms on May 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

If you would like to save money and don’t mind sleeping two to a bed with four to a room, we will provide a variation.  Register for Option #1 or #2 above have three buddies (designated and agreed upon by all and willing to sleep 4 riders to a single 2-bed hotel room) that have also registered for the same option as you, provide us with their names at least two months in advance of the event and we will provide all 4 riders a pro-rated check.  The pro-rated amount per rider for the quad-occupancy variation on Option #1 will be $85.  The pro-rated amount per rider for the quad-occupancy variation on Option #2 will be $135.  The total, after the refund, for quad occupancy on Option #1 would be $415 and Option #2 would be $465.  You must mail the D.O. fee ($520 or $620) to have your registration accepted and TRS will not coordinate roommates for quad-occupancy.  Refunds will be made by check in U.S. mail after the event.

If you have a preferred roommate, please list their name on the application.  If no preference, you will be assigned a roommate based on arrival time each night (males with males, females with females).  Unless you plan to ride with your selected roommate the entire ride, you may be better off taking pot luck and rooming with whomever you arrive with, so sleep schedules are similar.  Asking riders about their morning departure time may also be a good idea.

If you do not want to participate without a specific rider or group, please let us know on the application.  If we receive your application that has a specific rider or group indicated, you will go on a waiting list until all applications are received.  Once all applications are received they will each receive a slot provided there is space.

We will be offering custom Canari Cyclewear for sale on the application.  All clothing is offered at cost.  We pay artwork and shipping.  These are our favorite jerseys and shorts!  We’d rather not mail clothing but will for $10 shipping and handling.  One order of jerseys, shorts, arm warmers, sun sleeves, cycling caps and head bands will be submitted prior to the event in February.  This will be the only order, so if you would like one of these high-quality items be sure and place your order on your application.  You may just order clothing if you like, even if you are not doing the ride.  The Canari Cyclewear will be delivered at the host hotel during check-in.  The sizing chart may be found at  Euro cut is slimmer fitting and Club cut is looser fitting.  The jersey design is being tweeked but you can see the current design on our  jersey page on the website.

Refund Policy:

Wait-listed riders that do not receive a slot or cancel before accepted will receive a 100% refund.
Cancel by 2/11/16 (3 months prior) receive a 80% refund
Cancel by 3/11/16 (2 months prior) receive a 50% refund
Cancel by 4/11/16 (1 month prior) receive a 20% refund

Lone Star Randonneur’s Membership and Jerseys are non-refundable.

Refund checks may take up to 30 days to process.  Accommodations will be finalized February 12.

Please note on the application if you will have a personal support vehicle.  Also provide any travel arrangements that you have.  We will build an arrival/departure schedule to partner people up for airport transfers.  Uber quoted $50-$100 for the ride from DFW Airport to the hotel in Waxahachie, depending on which size of vehicle and how many passengers.

If you have questions, feel free to email me at  Look forward to seeing you in May!
